Allah, ar-Rabb, is the One Who disposes the affairs of His creation, He is their Nurturer, Reformer and He mends them. The other meaning of Ar-Rabb is the Owner and the Master; accordingly the Name implies an intrinsic Attribute
In the Qur’an there are rabbana dua which were revealed that begin with the Arabic word Rabbana (رَبَّنَا) meaning, ‘Our Lord’.
The verse then continues by asking Allah (swt) of something, forgiveness, wealth, success, prosperity, protection, safety, victory etc.

1. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّآ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِیعُ العَلِیمُ
Transliteration
Rabbana taqabbal minnaa innaka Antas Samee’ul Aleem.
Meaning
Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing.
You can say this dua anytime you want Allah to accept the good things you’ve done. It’s the prayer Prophet Ibrahim (AS) said after building the Kaaba with his son.
2. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَیْنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّیَّتِنَآ أُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا* وَتُبْ عَلَیْنَآ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِیمُ
Transliteration
Rabbana waj’alnaa muslimaini laka wa min zurriyyatinaaa ummatam muslimatal laka wa arinaa manaasikanaa wa tub ‘alainaa innaka antat Tawwaabur Raheem.
Meaning
Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites [of worship] and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful.
Surah Baqara verse 128
This du’a should be recited to affirm your faith in Islam. It also a good prayer that asks for the success of the entire Muslim Ummah. Du’a Prophet Ibrahim (as) recited after building the kaaba with his son.
3. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ
Transliteration
Rabbana atina fid dunyaa hasanatanw wa fil aakhirati hasanatanw wa qinaa azaaban Naar.
Meaning
Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Surah Baqara verse 201
The dua is a supplication asking for goodness in both this world and the Hereafter, as well as seeking protection from the punishment of the Fire (Hell). It reflects a desire for well-being and blessings in all aspects of life, with a focus on spiritual and eternal welfare.
4. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ أَفْرِغْ عَلَیْنَا صَبْراً وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانصُرْنَا عَلَى القَوْمِ الكَافِرِینَ
Transliteration
Rabbana afrigh ‘alainaa sabranw wa sabbit aqdaamanaa wansurnaa ‘alal qawmil kaafireen.
Meaning
Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.
Surah Baqara verse 250
This dua is a supplication asking for patience, steadfastness, and success over those who oppose or disbelieve. It expresses a plea for strength and resilience in the face of challenges, along with a request for victory against those who may oppose one’s faith or values.
5. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَآ إِن نَّسِينَآ أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا
Transliteration: Rabbana laa tu’aakhiznaaa in naseenaaa aw akhtaanaa.
Meaning: Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred.
Surah Baqara verse 286
The dua is a supplication seeking forgiveness and mercy from Allah. It acknowledges human forgetfulness and errors and asks Allah not to hold them accountable for unintentional mistakes or lapses in memory. It reflects a humble plea for understanding and forgiveness from the divine.
6. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَآ إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا
Transliteration
Rabbana wa laa tahmil-‘alainaaa isran kamaa hamaltahoo ‘alal-lazeena min qablinaa.
Meaning
Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us.
Surah Baqara verse 286
This dua is a supplication asking Allah not to burden the believers with difficulties and challenges similar to those faced by previous communities. It reflects a plea for Allah’s mercy and a desire for a manageable and bearable life, recognizing the hardships experienced by those who came before.
7. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِۦ ۖ وَٱعْفُ عَنَّا وَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَآ ۚ أَنتَ مَوْلَىٰنَا فَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
Transliteration
Rabbana wa laa tuhammilnaa maa laa taaqata lanaa bih; wa’fu ‘annaa waghfir lanaa warhamnaa; Anta mawlaanaa fansurnaa ‘alal qawmil kaafireen.
Meaning
Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.
Surah Baqara verse 286.
The dua is a supplication seeking Allah’s mercy, forgiveness, and protection. It expresses a plea for relief from burdens that are beyond one’s capacity to bear, seeking pardon and forgiveness for any shortcomings.

8. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا لاَ تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ ھَدَیْتَنَا وَھَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَھَّابُ
Transliteration
Rabbana laa tuzigh quloobanaa ba’da iz hadaitanaa wa hab lanaa mil ladunka rahmah; innaka antal Wahhaab.
Meaning
Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.
The dua is a supplication asking Allah to safeguard the hearts of the believers from deviating after being guided. It seeks continuous guidance, steadfastness, and mercy from Allah, acknowledging Him as the ultimate source of blessings.

9. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ جَامِعُ ٱلنَّاسِ لِيَوْمٍ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ
Transliteration
Rabbanaaa innaka jaami ‘un-naasil Yawmil laa raibafeeh; innal laaha laa yukhliful mee’aad.
Meaning
Our Lord, surely You will gather the people for a Day about which there is no doubt. Indeed, Allah does not fail in His promise.
Surah Al Imran verse 9
The dua is a supplication acknowledging the certainty of the Day of Judgment, where all people will be gathered. It affirms belief in the promise of Allah and expresses confidence that He does not fail in His commitments.

10. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ
Transliteration
Rabbanaaa innanaaa aamannaa faghfir lanaa zunoobanaa wa qinaa ‘azaaban Naar.
Meaning
Our Lord, indeed we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Surah Al Imran verse 16

11. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا بِمَآ أَنزَلْتَ وَٱتَّبَعْنَا ٱلرَّسُولَ فَٱكْتُبْنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّٰھِدِینَ
Transliteration
Rabbanaaa aamannaa bimaaa anzalta wattaba’nar Rasoola faktubnaa ma’ash shaahideen.
Meaning
Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the messenger [i.e., Jesus], so register us among the witnesses [to truth].
Surah Al Imran verse 53
This dua expresses a believer’s declaration of faith in what has been revealed by Allah and the guidance of the messenger, in this case, Jesus.
The supplication seeks to be registered among those who bear witness to the truth. It reflects a desire to be counted among the faithful witnesses of the divine message.
12. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِىٓ أَمْرِنَا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
Transliteration
Rabbanagh fir lanaa zunoobanaa wa israafanaa feee amrinaa wa sabbit aqdaamanaa wansurnaa ‘alal qawmil kaafireen.
Meaning
Our Lord, forgive us our sins and the excess [committed] in our affairs and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.
Surah Al Imran verse 147
This dua is a supplication asking for forgiveness of sins and any excesses in one’s affairs. It also seeks stability and strength in facing challenges, while requesting victory over those who oppose or disbelieve.

13. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَٰذَا بَٰطِلًا سُبْحَٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ
Transliteration
Rabbanaa maa khalaqta haaza baatilan Subhaanaka faqinaa ‘azaaban Naar.
Meaning
Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Surah Al Imran verse 191
This dua acknowledges the purposeful creation of the universe by Allah and expresses a plea for protection from the punishment of the Fire.

14. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ مَن تُدْخِلِ ٱلنَّارَ فَقَدْ أَخْزَيْتَهُۥ ۖ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍ
Transliteration
Rabbanaaa innaka man tudkhilin Naara faqad akhzai tahoo wa maa lizzaalimeena min ansaar.
Meaning
Our Lord, indeed whoever You admit to the Fire – You have disgraced him, and for the wrongdoers there are no helpers.
Surah Al Imran verse 192
This dua is a supplication seeking refuge from being admitted to the Fire, recognizing that whoever is admitted faces disgrace.

15. Rabbana
رَّبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِى لِلْإِيمَٰنِ أَنْ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَـَٔامَنَّا
Transliteration
Rabbanaaa innanaa sami’naa munaadiyai yunaadee lil eemaani an aaminoo bi Rabbikum fa aamannaa.
Meaning
Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller, calling to faith, [saying], ‘Believe in your Lord,’ and we have believed.
Surah Al Imran verse 193
This is humility, submission and faith. We have heard a caller (referring to Prophet Muhammad saws) and we have listened to his message and we believe.
16. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَیِّئَاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الأبْرَارِ
Transliteration
Rabbanaa faghfir lanaa zunoobanaa wa kaffir ‘annaa saiyi aatina wa tawaffanaa ma’al abraar.
Meaning
Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die among the righteous.
Surah Al Imran verse 193
This dua is a supplication asking for forgiveness of sins, removal of misdeeds, and a wish to die among the righteous. It reflects a desire for purification, spiritual growth, and a righteous end.
You are seeking Allah’s mercy and the opportunity to depart this world in a state of righteousness.
17. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا وَءَاتِنَا مَا وَعَدتَّنَا عَلَىٰ رُسُلِكَ وَلَا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۗ إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ
Transliteration
Rabbanaa wa aatinaa maa wa’attanaa ‘alaa Rusulika wa laa tukhzinaa Yawmal Qiyaamah; innaka laa tukhliful mee’aad.
Meaning
Our Lord, and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not fail in [Your] promise.
Surah Al Imran verse 194
This dua is a supplication asking Allah to fulfill the promises made through His messengers and to protect the believers from disgrace on the Day of Resurrection.
It expresses trust in Allah’s faithfulness to His promises and seeks assurance of the fulfillment of those promises on the Day of Judgment.
18. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱكْتُبْنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ
Transliteration: Rabbanaaa aamannaa faktubnaa ma’ash shaahideen.
Meaning: Our Lord, we have believed, so register us among the witnesses.
The dua is a supplication where believers express their faith and request to be registered among the witnesses.

19. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ أَنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةً مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَءَاخِرِنَا وَءَايَةً مِّنكَ ۖ وَٱرْزُقْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ
Transliteration
Rabbanaaa anzil ‘alainaa maaa’idatam minas samaaa’i takoonu lanaa ‘eedal li awwalinaa wa aakhirinaa wa Aayatam minka warzuqnaa wa Anta khairur raaziqeen.
Meaning
O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of providers.
Surah Al Maidah verse 114
This is a du’a Isa (Jesus) alayhis salaam recited asking for sufficient food for him and his followers.
20. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَآ أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
Transliteration
Rabbanaa zalamnaaa anfusanaa wa illam taghfir lanaa wa tarhamnaa lanakoonanna minal khaasireen.
Meaning
Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.
This dua is a supplication expressing remorse for wrongdoing and a plea for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy. It acknowledges the human tendency to err and seeks divine pardon to avoid being among the losers in the Hereafter.

21. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا لاَ تَجْعَلْنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِینَ
Transliteration: Rabbanaa laa taj’alnaa ma’al qawmiz zaalimeen.
Meaning; Our Lord, do not place us with the wrongdoing people.
Surah Al A’raf verse 47
The dua is a supplication asking Allah not to include the believers among the wrongdoing people.
It reflects a sincere desire to be distanced from those who engage in unjust or sinful behavior and seeks Allah’s protection from being associated with such actions or individuals.
22. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَیْنَنَا وَبَیْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَأَنتَ خَیْرُ الْفَاتِحِینَ
Transliteration
Rabbanaf-tah bainana wa baina qawmina bil haqqi wa anta Khairul Fatiheen.
Meaning
Our Lord, decide between us and our people in truth, and You are the best of those who give decision.
Surah Al A’raf verse 89
Prophet Suhaib (as) recited this du’a after facing heavy opposition from the eminent people of the city.
The dua is a supplication seeking Allah’s just judgment and decision in a matter between the believers and their people.
It acknowledges Allah as the ultimate and best arbiter, expressing a trust in His wisdom and fairness to resolve the issue in truth.
23. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ
Transliteration: Rabbanaaa afrigh ‘alainaa sabranw wa tawaffanaa muslimeen.
Meaning: Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims [in submission to You].
Surah Al A’raf verse 126
The dua is a supplication asking Allah to bestow patience upon the believers and a request to die in a state of submission to Him as Muslims.
It reflects a desire for steadfastness in facing life’s challenges and a wish for a peaceful and faithful end.
24. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا لاَ تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِینَ * وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِینَ
Transliteration
Rabbana la taj’alna fitnatal lil-qawmidh-Dhalimeen * Wa najjina bi- Rahmatika minal qawmil kafireen.
Meaning
Our Lord, make us not [objects of] trial for the wrongdoing people. * And save us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people.
This is a supplication asking Allah not to make the believers a trial or target for wrongdoing people.
It further seeks protection through Allah’s mercy from the harm or influence of disbelieving individuals. This dua reflects a desire for divine safeguarding against the negative impact of those who may oppose or harm the believers.
25. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ مَا نُخْفِى وَمَا نُعْلِنُ ۗ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍۢ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ
Transliteration
Rabbanaaa innaka ta’lamu maa nukhfee wa maa nu’lin; wa maa yakhfaa ‘alal laahi min shai’in fil ardi wa laa fis samaaa.
Meaning
Our Lord, indeed You know what we conceal and what we declare, and nothing is hidden from Allah on the earth or in the heaven.
This dua is an acknowledgment that Allah knows both what is concealed and what is declared by individuals. It emphasizes the all-encompassing knowledge of Allah, indicating that nothing is hidden from Him in the heavens or on the earth.
This supplication reflects humility and recognition of Allah’s omniscience.
26. Rabbana
رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَآءِ
Transliteration
Rabbij ‘alnee muqeemas Salaati wa min zurriyyatee Rabbanaa wa taqabbal du’aaa.
Meaning
My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.
Surah Ibrahim verse 40
This dua is a request to Allah to grant the ability to establish regular prayers and to extend the blessings of faith to one’s descendants.
The supplicant is asking for the acceptance of their prayer and seeking a legacy of steadfast worship and righteousness in their family.
27. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِینَ یَوْمَ یَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ
Transliteration
Rabbanagh fir lee wa liwaalidaiya wa lilmu’mineena Yawma yaqoomul hisaab.
Meaning
Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established.
Surah Ibrahim verse 41
This is a supplication asking Allah for forgiveness for oneself, one’s parents, and all believers on the Day of Judgment when the accounts are settled.
It reflects a sincere plea for mercy and forgiveness for oneself and loved ones in the Hereafter.
28. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ ءَتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا
Transliteration
Rabbanaaa aatinaa mil ladunka rahmatanw wa haiyi’ lanaa min amrinaa rashadaa.
Meaning
Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance.

29. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَن يَفْرُطَ عَلَيْنَآ أَوْ أَن يَطْغَى
Transliteration: Rabbanaaa innanaa nakhaafu ai yafruta ‘alainaaa aw ai yatghaa.
Meaning: Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress.
30. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ ءَمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَیْرُ الرَّاحِمِینَ
Transliteration
Rabbanaaa aamannaa faghfir lanaa warhamnaa wa Anta khairur raahimeen.
Meaning
Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.
Surah Muminoon verse 109
This is a supplication seeking forgiveness and mercy from Allah for the believers. It emphasizes their faith and trust in Allah’s attributes as the best of the merciful. This dua reflects a humble request for divine pardon and compassion.
31. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا * إِنَّهَا سَآءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا
Transliteration
Rabbanas rif ‘annnaa ‘azaaba Jahannama inn ‘azaabahaa kaana gharaamaa. * Innahaa saaa’at mustaqarranw wa muqaamaa.
Meaning
Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering; * Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence.
Surah Ash Shu’ara verse 65-66
This is a supplication seeking protection from the punishment of Hell. It describes the severity and evil nature of the punishment, expressing a sincere plea for Allah to avert it from the believers.
This dua reflects a deep concern for seeking refuge from the torment of Hell and a recognition of its grave consequences.
32. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا ھَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّیَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْیُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِینَ إِمَامًا
Transliteration
Rabbanaa hab lanaa min azwaajinaa wa zurriyaatinaa qurrata a’yuninw waj ‘alnaa lilmuttaqeena Imaamaa.
Meaning
Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us a leader [i.e., example] for the righteous.
Surah Ash Shu’ara verse 74
This a dua asking Allah to bless the believers with righteous spouses and offspring who bring comfort and joy to their eyes.

33. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا لَغَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ
Transliteration: Rabbana la Ghafurun shakur.
Meaning: Our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative.
Surah Fatir verse 34
The phrase “Our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative” is an acknowledgment of two attributes of Allah – forgiveness and appreciation.
It can be used as part of a supplication or remembrance to express gratitude for Allah’s forgiveness and appreciation of the good deeds and efforts of His servants.
34. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ رَّحْمَةً وَعِلْمًا فَاغْفِرْ لِلَّذِینَ تَابُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا سَبِیلَكَ وَقِھِمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِیمِ
Transliteration
Rabbanaa wasi’ta kulla shai’ir rahmatanw wa ‘ilman faghfir lillazeena taaboo wattaba’oo sabeelaka wa qihim ‘azaabal Jaheem.
Meaning
Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.
Surah Ghafir verse 7

35. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا وَأَدْخِلْھُمْ جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ الَّتِي وَعَدتَّھُم وَمَن صَلَحَ مِنْ آبَائِھِمْ وَأَزْوَاجِھِمْ وَذُرِّیَّاتِھِمْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِیزُ الْحَكِیمُ *وَقِھِمُ السَّیِّئَاتِ وَمَن تَقِ السَّیِّئَاتِ یَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمْتَھُ وَذَلِكَ ھُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِیمُ
Transliteration
Rabbana wa adhkhilhum Jannati ‘adninil-lati wa’attahum wa man salaha min aba’ihim wa azwajihim wa dhuriyyatihim innaka antal ‘Azizul-Hakim. * Waqihimus saiyi’at wa man taqis-saiyi’ati yawma’idhin faqad rahimatahu wa dhalika huwal fawzul-‘Adheem.
Meaning
Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and whoever was righteous among their forefathers, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. * And protect them from the evil consequences [of their deeds]. And he whom You protect from evil consequences that Day – You will have given him mercy. And that is the great attainment.
Surah Ghafir verse 8-9
This text is a supplication asking Allah to fulfill His promise of admitting the believers and their righteous forefathers, spouses, and offspring into gardens of perpetual residence.

36. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِينَ اٰمَنُوا
Transliteration
Rabbanagh fir lanaa wa li ikhwaani nal lazeena sabqoonaa bil eemaani wa laa taj’al fee quloobinaa ghillalil lazeena aamanoo.
Meaning
Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed.
Surah Hashr verse 10
This dua is a supplication seeking forgiveness from Allah for oneself and fellow believers. It includes a request not to harbor resentment in the heart towards other believers.
37. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ رَؤُوفٌ رَّحِیمٌ
Transliteration: Rabbannaaa innaka Ra’oofur Raheem.
Meaning: Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful.
Surah Hashr verse 10
This supplication is an expression of seeking Allah’s mercy and kindness. It is a humble acknowledgment of Allah’s attributes as being kind and merciful, and a plea for His benevolence.
38. Rabbana
رَّبَّنَا عَلَیْكَ تَوَكَّلْنَا وَإِلَیْكَ أَنَبْنَا وَإِلَیْكَ الْمَصِیرُ
Transliteration: Rabbanaa ‘alaika tawakkalnaa wa ilaika anabnaa wa ilaikal maseer.
Meaning
Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to You is the destination.
Surah Mumtahana verse 4
This dua expresses reliance on Allah, acknowledging that one depends on Him. It is a humble recognition that ultimately, all matters return to Allah, emphasizing the belief in a final destination determined by His will.
39. Rabbana
رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِیزُ الْحَكِیمُ
Transliteration
Rabbana laa taj’alnaa fitnatal lillazeena kafaroo waghfir lanaa rabbanaaa innaka antal azeezul hakeem.
Meaning
Our Lord, make us not [objects of] torment for the disbelievers and forgive us, our Lord. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Surah Mumtahana verse 5
This dua is a supplication seeking protection from being a source of torment for disbelievers and asking for forgiveness from Allah. It recognizes Allah’s might and wisdom, appealing for mercy and avoidance of harm to oneself and fellow believers.
40. Rabbana
رَبَّنَآ أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَآ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِیرٌ
Transliteration
Rabbanaaa atmim lanaa nooranaa waghfir lana innaka ‘alaa kulli shai’in qadeer.
Meaning
Our Lord, perfect for us our light and forgive us. Indeed, You are over all things competent.
Surah Tahrim verse 8
The hypocrites will find themselves stumbling in darkness. This du’a asks Allah (swt) to perfect or to complete our light on that day and to forgive us our sins. Indeed, Allah (swt) is competent and powerful over all things.
